Three out of four hernias occur in the groin area. In a hernia, the front abdominal wall &#8220;breaks&#8221; at one point, the organs of the abdominal area bulge, as for example, part of the intestine in the groin area (the contents of the hernia).<\/p>\n<p>The only effective treatment for hernia is an operation.
